M18 project meeting and first successful review

December 1, 2022

After 1.5 years of project implementation, the Tumor-LN-oC consortium recently gathered in Athens for the M18 project meeting. Representatives from all 11 partner organisations joined in person and online to present and discuss progress and results but also challenges of the ongoing research and development activities, as well as find solutions to individual and shared obstacles.

The 2-day consortium meeting was followed by the first periodic review meeting of the project where partners presented results and achievements of the last 18 months to the funding agency HaDEA (European Health and Digital Executive Agency), and the appointed external expert. Overall the partners received good feedback from the reviewers, as well as many useful comments and valuable recommendations that will be taken into account during future months.

Thanks to the interdisciplinarity of the partners and their commitment to Tumor-LN-oC, the project is well on its way to meet its ambitious objectives: All partners are making promising advances in the development of their individual technological modules, and the integration into a consolidated Organ-on-Chip platform is starting to be within reach!

Thanks to the Tumor-LN-oC team for their excellent work and to the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens for hosting us, it was a pleasure!
